MEMBERS DIRECTORY
This Directory was first published in the year 1991: It was compiled by C.K. (Channi) Uppal and published courtesy Ranga Bedi to list addresses of Members of the Planters Welfare Association (PWA) consisting of serving and Ex-Planters, those in allied professions, and others such as officers of Armed Forces, Civil Services and executives of Oil Industry who socially interacted with planters in plantation areas.
The Second Members Directory was published in the year 2000: The Directory was published, courtesy Mr. A.D. Sharma (Patron PWA) & assistance for execution was provided by Bobbie Jamwal, Channi Uppal & Roopy Patney. All the members and their spouses who spent their valuable time and efforts in the editing of the directory are thanked profusely once again.
The Third Members Directory was published in the year 2006: Naresh and Ranee Sawhney, Roopy Patney, Vishnu Lal and Channi Uppal, put in lot of work to enable it to be published.
The Fourth Members Directory was published in the year 2009: We are thankful to Messrs. H.N. Chopra, K.N. Chaurasia, S. Maini, B.Chhabra for all the assistance received from them. DIRECTORY FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE PLANTERS WELFARE ASSOCIATION 2014 published is of great significance as it is published in the year when we are going to celebrate, Silver Jubilee of the Association on completion of formation of our Association, twenty five years ago. It is indeed a matter of great pride and achievement for all of us. This is the only Association of its kind to have attained this milestone, hence this Directory is forwarded as a souvenir to all our members and trust it will be appreciated & treasured by all of you. We wish to convey our greetings to all our members with whose support this has been possible. We are most thankful to Mr. B. Chhabra, Mr. V. Lall, Mr. K.N. Chhabra & Roopy Patney which was appreciated by all the Members . Lot of hard work was put in which yielded desired results . The design , formatting / up -dation , editing / photographs etc was executed by the above named members.

We shall endeavour to publish the next Members Directory in the coming year . How- ever , the up dation of directory from 2017 to 2021 has been carried out regularly by Roopy Patney and for the convenience of member the up dated directory 2021 is being attached in the website and can be obtained from the Secretary, if you wish to get the same, which will be forwarded by e – mail e – mail as attachment.
Errors in the published Directory: While every effort has been made to incorporate information as received from our members correctly, still there may or may not be some inadvertent errors, which are sincerely regretted. Also changes if any may please be communicated to enable us to incorporate them in our the bi-annual News Letter.
Changes after publication of the Directory: Furthermore we strongly urge the members to inform us of any changes in address, telephone number etc. subsequent to publication of the Directory and when these take place to enable us to publish the changes in our bi-annual News Letters.
Members are requested to correct their copy of the Directory to keep the same up to date.
